Sony

i don't know how they expect anyone to enter the Acid market. I mean having bought the software a few versions ago i know my product is out of date, but even if it wasn't the loops that came with it aren't up to par with what's out there now. And at 40 bucks per loop pack your wallet goes empty quick. Especially since i don't see very large returns on my investments. Now it's time to upgrade the software (i.e. put a new version on my new computer).

It means i have to be picky, unfortunately i wasn't when i bought my first round in stores and now i have wonderful cinematic score music loops that don't really fit with anything that i would produce. lesson learned.

If you have a way of getting the following loop packs for cheaper than the 40 bucks a pack they are asking for on the main site, let me know. i'm thinking i may just rely on Amazon.

X-Core: Hardcore Techno
Afterhours EDM
8 Bit Weapon: A chiptune odyssey
Progressive house dynamics
Designer Dance tools

I was also looking at another company that has R.A.W. loop style packs. This might be a good investment too.
I do qualify for an educational discount, but it's not like adobe's where i get the thing for 50 bucks and the retail value is 3000. oh how i love those discounts. Too bad my love for dreamweaver and photoshop has never been as high as my love for trance, electronica, techno, and many other genres of music.
