Florida (there's a reason they have their own tag)
7 deaths and counting are now on this church's head. they knew what
would happen and they did it anyway, i'm guessing in an attempt to draw
the muslim community out to attack the church specifically, but it'd be
best if their church disappeared altogether due to reaction from the
local christian community.
Anger of Quran burning by Church in Florida... Yes, that church
i wish there was a way to communicate to the world that in general, we're not ignorant, racist, stupid, illogical, offensive, hateful people here in America.
I value the integration of all religions in society, i believe there is a place and value that each can provide. I myself am an Atheist, but i understand the role of religion in people's lives. Do i think that on some level the reaction is a bit much, yes, but at the same time it was provoked by some media whore church in Florida.
The thing is, that you can't just burn a bible or a flag or a map of Florida to get these people to understand how offensive their act was. And they are so far removed from the actions in Afghanistan that the death of others means nothing to them. And i certainly wouldn't wish violence on them. So how does a civilized society deal with a church that has decided to go against any semblance of peace, brotherhood, respect and humanity? i guess we'll see.
