Post Vacation numbness

***written while on oxycodone, the reason described a bit later****

So I went home to colorado for a few days in April. It was nice i got to see my mom, the puppies, and my uncle. I also did a bit of shopping before i headed to Arizona on the 22nd. I don't have many pictures or videos at the moment, but i will upload what i can when i can.

On the 22nd i made it to arizona after spending the entirety of the 21st at DIA. Since there was a miscommunication, i couldn't begin class. I did however complete my first jump ever, a Tandem with Joe.  The next day there was also not a class, so i got my first ten minutes in the wind tunnel in.

but then i began my journey towards my USPA Level A License. I got 20 jumps in before my unfortunate end by breaking my right ankle avoiding a canopy collision. still need 5 more to get my license, but it will be at least 2 months before i can think about it.

But i had a lot of good times on those jumps, getting to know a bunch of Aussies, a few Brazilians, a Saudi, the Alaskan, the packers and everyone else at the drop zone.

we hit up 3 casinos, 2 theaters, a go kart track, a Diamondbacks baseball game, a SPA, plenty of restaurants.

I finished warrior dash in 1628 place on sunday that placed me easily in the top 20% of all competitors for the two days. I had been jumping earlier that day, and i dinged my leg up pretty bad, so it kind of sucked. 37 minutes for a 3.4 mile race is pretty good.

I also went to visit Alec out in Prescott where i bought a wolf hat. which sounds weird, but every night i've worn that hat, girls have come up to kiss me, including cinco de mayo, hooray.  It was nice to see all the different parts of AZ, besides my allergies, the weather was great, the people were nice, and i got a sweet tan.

So now that i'm all drugged up with the broken ankle and what not, i can say i had a fun 20 days away, it's been grey and rainy here since i got back. depressing. this place is just depressing, there are very few silver linings here. I gotta find something to do to break up he grey that encapsulates everything here.

I can't run, swim, bike, jump, etc... for a few months. and i thought i was glued to xbox before. lol

alrighty, my drug fueled update is done. :p
